Distance Doesn’t Have To Be a Thing

I used to envy people who were super close to their best friend to the point they talk to each other often, they connect via text daily… they meet for dinner at least twice a month. I thought that was the definition of a best friend.

Oh, how I was wrong. I’ve been friends with my BFF since high school. There were years… literally years… plural… where we did not see each other. We were so busy with work, kids… you name it, that we just didn’t catch up. But when we did, it was like riding a bike. Our friendship stands the test of time, distance and overbooked schedules.

When you find that special friend, don’t overthink it… embrace your time together… no judgement, no expectation… no limits. Just love them… and cherish every minute you have with them. A BFF is one of life’s most precious treasures.
